Click here to fill in the survey
Everyone is asked to complete this short survey about the centre of Kettering (the town centre itself and the surrounding residential areas -as shown on the plans and in the survey form.
The council has agreed to prepare a neighbourhood plan for the town centre of Kettering and the surrounding residential areas. A neighbourhood plan sets planning policies for the area it covers and will help determine the future direction for the town centre and help improve the residential areas around the town centre.
If you care about our town centre and the people who work and live in it, and the surrounding areas, then please do help us focus on the right things by completing this survey. A successful plan needs the input of everyone to make it realistic and effective.
Areas the plan can cover:
- What do we do with vacant sites in the town centre?
- How do we improve the look and feel of the town centre?
- How do we get more public facilities for commercial and community benefit?
- How can we have better-quality housing?
- How can we improve and extend our public open spaces?
- How can we improve however get around - on foot, by bike, public transport or car?
- How best should we address parking needs for residents and visitors alike?
- How do we get a safer night time economy?
The Plan Area
North Northamptonshire Council, as the planning authority, has made an order which sets out what area can be covered by the new neighbourhood plan. They did so after consultation which closed on 3rd October, with no objections received.
