Volunteering boost for the coronation bank holiday
Volunteering groups have the chance to bid for cash to help celebrate the King's Coronation this spring.
A national day of volunteering – The Big Help Out – is being held on the extra bank holiday, Monday 8 May. People who may not have volunteered before are being encouraged to give some of their time to help their local community.

Chance to vote on future of neighbourhood
People are being given the chance to vote on a plan to shape the future of their area.
Residents in the Headlands area of Kettering can vote in a special referendum at the end of April.
The neighbourhood plan is being set up to influence future development and to maintain the unique character of the area.

Funding on offer to support projects in Kettering
Community groups in Kettering are being encouraged to apply for a share of council funding.
Kettering Town Council has a total pot of £8,000 to be given away to support a range of projects and organisations around the town.
The funding has come from the council's grants budget plus money raised from the Town Community Lottery – which aims to raise money for good causes in Kettering.

Holocaust Memorial Day in Kettering
Victims of the holocaust will be remembered in Kettering this year as part of Holocaust Memorial Day.
The event will take place in the Art Gallery Gardens, off Sheep Street, at 2pm on Friday 27 January 2023.
