Chance to win funding to help wildlife

Projects that help boost wildlife in Kettering can have a chance to win some council funding.

Kettering Town Council is running the Love Wildlife competition to help boost biodiversity in the town.

Eco boost for school pond project

Eco boost for school pond project

A project to boost diversity and wildlife by building a new school pond has been completed.

The pond at Southfied School, in Kettering, will be officially opened by the town mayor on Tuesday 4 July.

The project was funded by a grant from Kettering Town Council's Love Wildlife competition which ran earlier in the year.

Winners announced for biodiversity competition

A scheme to build a school pond and another to support vulnerable women with horticultural therapy are among the winners of a biodiversity competition.

Southfield School for Girls has been given £1,000 to create a wildlife pond at their school and Ketterin Women's Centre has £400 to create the therapy garden.

Vegan market returns to town centre this summer

Vegan market returns to town centre this summer

Kettering Vegan Market will be taking over the Market Place in the heart of the town this summer.

The event, on Saturday 17 June, will feature a handpicked selection of street food, artisan bakes, craft cheeses, handmade cosmetics, ethical clothing and jewellery, arts and crafts and charity stalls.
