Kettering Town Council 2025 Events


Kettering Half Marathon and 5k

Runners in Kettering can sign up to a brand-new running event in Kettering for 2025.

They can choose from a half marathon with a scenic route taking in the town centre and Boughton House or a shorter 5k route.

Participants in the half marathon will start at Wicksteed Park, heading into the town centre and then the grounds of Boughton House, before finishing back at Wicksteed.


Easter Trail

Friday 4 April to Saturday 19 April 2025 (excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays)

A trail for youngsters during the Easter holidays. Follow our free trail around town this Easter.

Collect a sheet from any of the venues along the route, or download it from our website, then follow the clues around town and crack the code for a sweet treat at the end.

Kettering Vegan Market

Saturday 26 April

The specialist market is returning the spring, featuring a variety of street food, artisan bakes, craft cheeses, handmade cosmetics, ethical jewellery, arts and crafts and charity stalls.

One Saturday a month throughout the summer, join us in the Market Place for a community celebration market.

You can expect incredible street food, drink, produce, artisan stalls, gifts, entertainment, family fun and community groups.


Armed Forces Parade

Armed Forces Parade
Sunday 8 June
11am to 2pm
Parade route from London Road Car Park along High Street to Kettering Market Place, Sheep Street, NN15 0AJ

The Royal Anglian Regiment will be exercising their freedom of Kettering in this parade to honour the contribution the armed forces make to our community.
Hundreds of local cadets will parade with six marching bands ending in a service and inspection in the Market Place.


Kettfest

Kettfest returns for 2025 on Saturday 14 June.

Taking over the town with five stages on one day, there will be something for everyone in this community celebration.


Skateboarding Days

Saturdays 21 June and 26 July 2025

Ise Lodge Skate Park, Grantown Close

These events are open to all, from beginners to experts, and run by Illicit Skate, Kettering. There will be prizes to be won with a series of competitions throughout the day. Plus there is the chance to wok on your skills with a fully-qualified coach. June's event is for Go Skate Day, July is for Aggro Fest.


Bands in the Park

Every Sunday from 22 June to 24 August 2025

2 to 4pm

Rockingham Road Pleasure Park Bandstand

The popular Bands in the Park programme returns to the historic bandstand. As well as the traditional sounds of brass bands, we will have a range of performances including rock, pop, jazz and funk.

Refreshments are available from All Saints' Church.


Kettering By The Sea

Family-friendly fun in the Market Place this summer! We are bringing the seaside to Kettering with a giant sand pit during the summer holidays. As well as the sand, there are splash fountains, you can get your face painted and enjoy theatre shows. Come and try out skateboard skills sessions, watch Punch and Judy shows, learn magic tricks, circus skills and enjoy arts and crafts. And the best bit? It's all free.

You're in for a treat this October half term with our trail around the town centre. Grab a map from any of the venues taking part, or download one from our website, then follow it to find the spooky clues hidden in the shops. If you find them all you can claim a free treat at the end. Good luck!

Holocaust Memorial Day

Victims of the holocaust will be remembered in Kettering as part of Holocaust Memorial Day.

The event will take place in the Manor House Gardens, off Sheep Street, at 2pm on Tuesday 27 January 2026.

Hosted by the Mayor of Kettering, Cllr Craig Skinner, the event consists of a short, non-denominational service of remembrance for victims of genocide worldwide including current conflicts.
