Voluntary voices to be heard at town meeting

A public meeting to bring voluntary groups in Kettering together is being held this month.

The Annual Town Meeting is being organised by Kettering Town Council to bring local groups and people together to discuss activities and projects.

It will be a chance to hear what is already happening as well as discuss ideas for future projects and initiatives.

The meeting, on Wednesday 22 May, will hear presentations from the following groups about their work in Kettering:

-Kettering Cultural Consortium

-Citizens Advice Corby & Kettering

-Natural Ise

-C2C Social Action - Kettering Women's Centre

-Accommodation Concern

-Kettering Complementary Therapy Group

-St Andrew's Church and St Andrew's Parochial Trust

Clerk to Kettering Town Council, Martin Hammond, said: "The Annual Town Meeting is a chance for local groups to get together and find out what is happening in the town.

"It's is an opportunity to share ideas and for groups to come together in an open forum – everyone is welcome to this public meeting. We will also be updating the meeting on the town council's activities over the past year and what we have planned for the next 12 months."
