Funding on offer to support projects in Kettering

Community groups in Kettering are being encouraged to apply for a share of council funding.

Kettering Town Council has a total pot of £8,000 to be given away to support a range of projects and organisations around the town.

The funding has come from the council's grants budget plus money raised from the Town Community Lottery – which aims to raise money for good causes in Kettering.

There are a number of different pots that people can apply to:

• Projects which benefit the community can apply for up to £1,000 – from a total pot of £4,000 – deadline for applications Sunday 19 March 2023

• Ideas which promote sustainability and the environment can apply for up to £1,000 of lottery funding – deadline Sunday 2 April 2023

• For Kettering's Love Wildlife Competition groups can apply to win £1,000 or ten lots of £200 to promote biodiversity and help wildlife in the town – deadline Sunday 26 February 2023

Chairman of the Finance and Governance Committee, Cllr Mark Rowley, said: "We are really pleased to be able to offer this funding out to community groups. There is a range of cash available and we hope it gives a boost to the really important community work groups are involved in. The lottery is a great way of raising money which goes directly back to the people of Kettering."

Kettering Town Community Lottery costs £1 per week to enter with a possible top prize of £25,000.

Grant applications must come from recognised voluntary or community groups based in Kettering, with a constitution, set of rules or equivalent, with a bank or building society account, independently approved annual accounts and whose work will directly benefit the people or the town of Kettering.

People can find out more information and apply online for a grant.
