Bands In The Park in Kettering

MUSIC will fill the air in Kettering this summer as the town council's Bands in the Parks season gets under way.

The programme will see a live band performing on Sunday afternoons throughout the summer – and it's free for everyone to enjoy.

The first group to perform at the bandstand in Rockingham Road Pleasure Park will be the Dave Parker Jazz band on Saturday 2 July as part of Kettfest while Kettering Silver Band will take to the stage on Sunday 3 July.

And the rest of the summer looks like this:
Sunday 17 July - Corby Silver Band
Sunday 24 July - Phoenix Saxophone Orchestra
Sunday 31 July - Kettering Silver Band
Sunday 7 August - Rushden Mission Band
Sunday 21 August - Gretton Silver Band
Sunday 4 September - Kettering Silver Band
Sunday 11 September - Rushden Mission Band CANCELLED

Kettering Town Councillor Craig Skinner said: "We are really pleased to be able to bring music back to the park this summer as part of the town council's season of events.

"These free concerts are a fantastic chance to see and hear the best of our local brass, jazz and community musicians in the open air."

The Bands in the Parks season continues until Sunday 11 September, with full details available on Kettering Town Council's website:
