Holocaust Memorial Day in Kettering

Victims of the holocaust will be remembered in Kettering this year as part of Holocaust Memorial Day.

The event will take place in the Manor House Gardens, off Sheep Street, at 2pm on Friday 26 January 2024.

Hosted by the Mayor of Kettering, Cllr Emily Fedorowycz, the event consists of a short, non-denominational service of remembrance for victims of genocide worldwide including current conflicts.

The Holocaust Memorial Flag will be raised during the service from the flagpole in front of the council offices in Bowling Green Road.

Cllr Fedorowycz said: "Given everything that is happening in the world, it is even more timely to take these few precious moments out to reflect, and commit to avoiding future tragedies. I would like to invite along everyone who can come, to mark this act of remembrance.

The service will be led by Reverend David Walsh and this year will involve representatives from the Ukrainian community in Kettering, and from local faith groups.
